Château Lécuyer

 POMEROL

Created in 2004, the Château Lécuyer has improved with each vintage to become one of the Pomerol appellation’s great wines with the makings of a true Grand Cru. Located not far from the church, it covers an area of 3.4 hectares. It is kitted out with a small but modern wine cellar built in the year 2000 and is primarily composed of two magnificent terroirs :

The Pomerol, clay-gravel plateau, not far from the church: the soil here is dense with clay, offering each plant a consistent source of moisture, resulting in elegant and generous wines ;

The base of the plateau in the village, consisting of clay soil covered with a layer of sand. This terroir creates fine, elegant wines.

Merlot, the king of all grapes, can be found here with its incredible aromatic complexity and balanced, silky mouthfeel. Its tannins are bold and voluptuous, unveiling a nice length at the finish. Its aging potential is 8 to 15 years.

The Château Lécuyer stretches across three hectares in Pomerol that make up the blend and are spread over two magnificent terroirs :
